Senior Trainer and Consultant, MariaDB

I started as database system engineer in 1985, working on an SQL interpreter and participating in the development of B-trees two-phase commit protocol and SQL 92. From 1989 until 1995 I used my database expertise as a consultant for different customers supporting their database application development and in problem management with vendors. Starting 1996 I was a Senior Solutions and Enterprise Architect for companies in different industry sectors as well as in the public sector mainly on topics of information management and information security. In 2009 I got a contract as professor for information management at the Berne University for Applied Sciences. In 2012 I left the university to run my own business as trainer, consultant and business coach working for different training centers as instructor for database management systems trainings. Since January 2018 I am part time member of the existing MariaDB team.I started as database system engineer in 1985, working on an SQL interpreter and participating in the development of B-trees two-phase commit protocol and SQL 92.
