SkySQL has been named one of the Top 20 Startup Companies in Finland

We’re looking forward to spreading the MySQL, MariaDB & Cloud message further in Finland this year!

Talouselämä, the largest Finnish business publication today published their list of the Top 20 Startup companies in Finland. The selection was made from approximately 100 applications from companies based in Finland.

We are delighted to announce that SkySQL has been chosen as one of the companies included in this prestigeous list.

SkySQL was founded in 2010 and has its’ headquarter in Espoo, Finland. The office was resently moved to Innopoli 2 in Espoo where part of the office space is shared with the MariaDB team from Monty Program. We are currently expanding and are looking for new colleagues to join the team. Open positions can be found in our career section on our website.

Recently there has been a lot of interest in SkySQL in the media both in Finland and elsewhere. Helsingin Sanomat published an article last Sunday where Patrik Sallner from SkySQL and Monty Widenius from Monty Program were interviewed about the co-operation between the two companies.

During spring 2013 SkySQL and MariaDB teams are making a joint tour to various European cities. If you are interested in meeting up with us, take a look at our Upcoming Events section on our website.

Therese is passionate about marketing and now manages the EMEA marketing initiatives with the aim to further strengthen SkySQL’s position on the European market, and also its’ visibility among users of MySQL and MariaDB.
