Hi folks
This issue still exists with the latest 5.3 stable rpms. On a vanilla install of CentOS6 installing the Centos5 Maria rpms the install fails with warnings of a conflict with mysql-lib, and postfix requires mysql-lib.
I want to switch to Maria, but I'm not an experienced sysadmin, so this could be a showstopper unless someone can suggest a solution.
I'm concerned that this question has remained open for months and hasn't been resolved with the latest release. If you want uptake of Maria for serious applications, surely the community should be supporting RHEL6/CentOS6??
