Overview
MariaDB SkySQL supports AWS PrivateLink as an option:
This feature is not enabled by default. By default, network traffic to MariaDB SkySQL traverses the public internet.
When enabled, AWS PrivateLink connects your Amazon Web Services (AWS) VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) network to MariaDB SkySQL with connectivity over Amazon's network.
AWS PrivateLink improves network latency and security when communicating between servers in the same AWS region.
AWS PrivateLink is available to Power Tier customers.
For GCP, see VPC Peering.

Contact SkySQL Support to request AWS PrivateLink configuration:
Provide your AWS Account ID.
Provide your SkySQL Service Name.
Connect over AWS PrivateLink
AWS PrivateLink changes the way you connect to SkySQL services, allowing connections which do not transit the public internet. Configurations are customer-specific and cloud-specific. If PrivateLink is enabled, please refer to the connection instructions provided by MariaDB Support.
