MariaDB products are built on the same underlying database and leverage pluggable storage to extend it. The result is an extensible database platform capable of supporting a diverse set of workloads – traditional and scalable web, mobile and Internet of Things (IoT), relational and non-relational, transactional and analytical.

 

MariaDB Server

MariaDB Server is the foundation upon which all MariaDB products are built. It is a 100% open source database with a set of enterprise features that, until now, could only be found in a proprietary database – including Oracle Database compatibility (e.g., PL/SQL), temporal tables, sharding, point-in-time rollback and transparent data encryption.

Deploy anywhere

MariaDB is infrastructure agnostic. It can run on anything, anywhere – bare metal, virtual machines or containers, in a private data center or in the cloud (public, private or hybrid) – and is the default database on leading Linux distributions, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux/CentOS and SUSE Linux Enterprise.
