Overview
MariaDB SkySQL Cloud Backup is a backup and recovery solution offered by MariaDB.
Backup configuration, backup tasks, and restore tasks are managed through the SkySQL Portal.
Access Cloud Backup
To access SkySQL Cloud Backup:
Login to the SkySQL Portal.
Click on the "Cloud Backup" link in the main menu (left navigation).
If you have not already enabled Cloud Backup service, complete signup.
Initial Configuration
During the initial configuration of Cloud Backup you will define:
Database servers (backup sources and restore targets)
Storage
Schedule
Retention Policies
After initial configuration, if you have configured Cloud Backup with an on-premises database server, you will install the Cloud Backup Agent.

Backup Tasks
Backup and restore operations are performed using Backup Tasks.
To configure or manage a backup task:
Login to the SkySQL Portal.
Click on the Cloud Backup link in the main menu (left navigation).
Click on the "Backup Tasks" link in the Cloud Backup menu. A list of scheduled backups is shown. A backup can be scheduled by clicking the "Scheduled Backup" button (upper right).
Backups
To view and manage backups:
Login to the SkySQL Portal.
Click on the Cloud Backup link in the main menu (left navigation).
Click on the "Backups" link in the Cloud Backup menu. A list of backups is shown.
