MariaDB 10.1.3 Release Notes
Note: This page describes features in the source repository for MariaDB 10.1. There are currently no official packages or binaries available for download which contain the features. If you want to try out any of the new features described here you will need to get and compile the code yourself.
MariaDB 10.1 is the current development series of MariaDB. It is an evolution of MariaDB 10.0 with several entirely new features not found anywhere else and with backported and reimplemented features from MySQL 5.6 and 5.7.
MariaDB 10.1.3 is a Beta release.

Notable Changes

- Page compression now supports snappy compression method
- Optimistic mode of in-order parallel replication (MDEV-6676) and two new associated system variables:
- The wsrep_dirty_reads system variable for permitting dirty Galera reads.
- Enhanced semisync replication (MDEV-162)
- Threadpool improvements from Percona Server (MDEV-5533)
- Low priority queue throttling
- Default value for thread_pool_max_threads changed from 500 to 100000
- Dump Thread Enhancements from Google (MDEV-7257)
