Java 1.5 and MariaDB connector
Hi, MariaDB 1.1.5 client requires JDK1.6. I have a need for MariaDB client to support JRE1.5
MySQL connector/J supports both JDK1.5 and JDK1.6
Can you support JDK1.5?

There's no immediately obvious reason why not without looking further, but we don't really have the resources to support an old version.
