MariaDB server audit plugin bundled in Mariadb version 10.4.12, compatible with mysql 5.7?
I am researching auditing options for MySQL Community server 5.7. I looked into MariaDB's server audit plugin, included in the MariaDB server package for version- 10.4.12, and wanted to know if it is compatible with MySQL 5.7, and which release?

The audit plugin does work with MySQL 5.7. Note that the MySQL server only generates query and connect events, not table events, so there are some limitations if you use MySQL 5.7. See MDEV-12878.
