Can a MariaDB 10.1.x Galera node be added to a MariaDB 5.5.54 Galera cluster?
I remember reading somewhere in the documentation that the v10 node needs to be set to read-only so changes don't propagate from 10.0.x to 5.x.x, but can a 10.1 node be added?

MariaDB 10.1 and MariaDB Galera Cluster 10.0 both use the same major Galera wsrep provider version so it should work the same for 10.0 and for 10.1. See also socket.checksum.
