Also note that VS Express editions do not support extensibility, and even if you install Connector/NET that includes Visual studio plugin, so you won't be able to generate datasets or see the database in Server Explorer. This limitation does not apply do VS Professional or higher i.e starting with VS Professional, Connector/NET's Visual Studio plugin is actually usable
