Distributions Which Include MariaDB

The following distributions include MariaDB in their package repositories. For these you can use the distribution's management system to install MariaDB.
Linux Distributions
- Mageia 2 — features the latest MariaDB 5.5 release, replacing MySQL
- Gentoo
- openSUSE — MariaDB 5.3 and 5.5 are available in the obs repository
- Slackware
- ArchLinux (AUR MariaDB)
- ALTLinux
- MariaDB Debian Live Images
- Parabola GNU/Linux
- TurboLinux
BSD Distributions
- FreeBSD — MariaDB 5.3 is available in the ports tree and the FreeBSD Manual has instructions on Installing Applications: Packages and Ports
Mac OS X Distributions
- Homebrew. A good blog about Homebrew can be found here. If you have homebrew installed, you can install MariaDB by doing:
brew install mariadb
