Executing
select @@version
on the database will give you the version of the MariaDB server.Thanks for the reply... Actually i got it as 10.4 with the version()...but my question is why both of these shown together
STATUS command gives "Server version: 10.4.21-MariaDB-log Source distribution and mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.0.38-MariaDB, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64)"
How did you install MariaDB to get this status?
The older version is most likely the version of the client application (i.e.
mysql
) which depends on where you execute the query from.
