MariaDB on a read-only filesystem
Is it possible to start MariaDB with datadir in a read-only mounted filesystem?
So far I can start mysql daemon when Event Scheduler is DISABLED. Other transient files (multi-master.info) are linked to a writable directory (/tmp).
Are there any restrictions, runtime errors or failures that can occur? Is there some configuration I need to adjust absolutely?
