Attualmente non ci sono differenze tra il GIS nelle versioni stabili di MariaDB e il GIS in MySQL. Tuttavia alcune estensioni e alcuni miglioramenti sono in sviluppo. si veda "MariaDB Plans - GIS" per ulteriori informazioni.
