SkySQL delivers all of the ease of use cloud is known for, deploying production databases with just a few clicks – with high availability, disaster recovery, security and scalability all configured out of the box. However, unlike other DBaaS offerings, it deploys the same MariaDB components enterprise on-premises customers trust and rely on, including MariaDB Enterprise Server.

Pricing
SkySQL is priced competitively with third-party DBaaS offerings from cloud service providers, and includes standard support out of the box (i.e., technical support with bug fixes and security patches) – along with MariaDB Enterprise Server, transparent query routing, analytics with columnar data on object storage, workload analysis and a lot more on the way.

The SkySQL prices above include enterprise support. AWS enterprise support costs the greater of $15,000/month or 10% of the monthly usage cost, so the AWS RDS prices above include a 10% surcharge. Azure enterprise support is not based on monthly usage, so it is not included. GCP enterprise support costs $150,000/year + 4% of the monthly usage cost, so the Google Cloud SQL prices above include a 4% surcharge.
