Enterprise Platform
Recover With Confidence
MariaDB Enterprise Platform protects your data from hardware failure, human error and site outages, with backups, point-in-time recovery and replication across data centers.
Protect. Restore. Resume.
Disaster recovery starts with your recovery point and recovery time objectives. MariaDB Enterprise Platform gives you the tools to meet them: backups, point-in-time recovery and flashback in the server, plus replication and clustering that keep a second site ready.
Benefits
Why teams choose MariaDB

Minimal data loss
Combine backups with binary logs to restore data to the exact moment before a failure or unintended change, minimizing data loss.
Backups without downtime
Non-blocking full and incremental backups run while your workload stays online, with enterprise optimizations that minimize lock time.
Fast recovery from mistakes
Flashback reverses accidental inserts, updates and deletes faster than a backup restore, while a delayed replica keeps a clean copy ready to promote.
Survive a site outage
Replicate to a second data center or cloud and promote the replica if the primary site goes down. Run the standby at reduced capacity to keep costs low.
Capabilities
Tools for every recovery scenario

MariaDB Enterprise Backup
Non-blocking full and incremental backups of the whole database or individual tables. DDL tracking minimizes the locks required during backups.
Point-in-time recovery
Restore a full or incremental backup, then replay binary logs from a chosen point in time. Granular recovery keeps data loss to a minimum.
Flashback and delayed replication
Roll back unintended inserts, updates and deletes with flashback, or promote a delayed replica that never received those changes. Both options avoid a full restore.
Multi-data center and cloud
Replicate between data centers or clouds with asynchronous replication, clustering or both. A scaled-down standby site can be promoted if the primary fails.
Also included:
Full and incremental backups

Frequently asked questions
High availability keeps services running when a node fails. Disaster recovery restores data and service after bigger events: a site outage, corruption or a mistake that reaches every replica. A complete plan includes both.
Only briefly. Enterprise Backup is non-blocking, so reads and writes continue, while enterprise-only DDL tracking minimizes the locks required during backups.
Yes. Restore a full or incremental backup, then replay the binary logs up to the moment you choose.
Flashback rolls back accidental inserts, updates and deletes without requiring a full restore. If the change reaches your replicas, promote a delayed replica or use system-versioned tables to see earlier row versions.
Replicate asynchronously to a standby site running at reduced capacity to save costs. If the primary site fails, promote the standby. The primary site can run as a cluster for high availability.
Anywhere you run self-managed software. Deploy on premises, in any public cloud or across hybrid setups, and replicate between them for disaster recovery.
